Martha Bourtsos Orzechowski, Director of Development

Martha Bourtsos Orzechowski currently serves as the Director of Development for Women In Government. She has been with the organization since May 2007. Martha serves as the primary liaison between the organization and our sponsors. Martha earned her Bachelors Degree in Finance from the Pennsylvania State University and her Masters Degree in Business Administration from Duquesne University. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Educational Administration and Policy Studies at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.

Martha's previous work experience has included graduate, research, and teaching assistantships at Catholic University. She also spent a year volunteering as a math tutor in a local D.C. public high school. She is an active member of the Pennsylvania State Alumni Association, Duquesne University Alumni Association, and the American Association of University Women. Martha is tri-lingual, with fluency in Greek and Spanish.

In her role as Director of Development, Martha focuses on maintaining Women In Government's long-standing relationships with existing corporate and foundation sponsors, as well as adding new partners to further our reach. Martha works closely with the Policy & Programs Department to ensure that all anticipated outcomes are met.
