Heather Kearns joined Women In Government in December 2009 and will serve as the Program Manager. In this new role, she will manage the event, meeting and administrative logistics for all of Women In Government’s events including the Regional Conferences, Task Force Meetings, Summits and State Briefings. Heather received her degree in Communications, with an emphasis in Public Relations, and a Marketing Cognate from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA.

Heather’s previous experience includes having planned and executed an extensive list of fundraising, membership and corporate events throughout the United States. Recently as a Major Donor Program Director for a national political party she managed one of the party’s premier membership donor clubs, planned a variety of events with the President of the United States, VIP’s and elected officials. Prior to this, Heather worked in New York City for Pfizer, Inc as a State Government Relations Coordinator where she managed the meeting and event logistics for the State Government Relations Department and supported two senior executives. She also enjoyed several years with a national Governors Association working in the Finance Department coordinating fundraising and membership events, which raised funds to provide financial support for competitive gubernatorial races. Heather is very excited about taking on this new role with Women In Government.
