
Libby Derting serves as the Director of Policy and Programs for Women In Government. In this role, Libby works to provide high quality programming at our conferences and educational forums, focusing on policy initiatives in healthcare, higher education, economic development, energy and the environment and transportation.
She brings years of legislative and legal experience to the position, including experience as an attorney and government affairs representative for trade associations and Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining Women In Government, Libby served as the Director of State and Local Affairs at the American Institute of Architects and as Manager of Government Relations at Symantec Corporation. She has also worked as counsel to the Consumer Healthcare Products Association and the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers.
Libby Derting received her BA and MA from the University of Tennessee and completed her JD at The George Washington University Law School.
