Marjorie Maginn comes to Women In Government with an extensive background in state government and public policy, having served as the Insurance Commissioner for the State of Indiana and the Regional Vice President of Industry and Political Affairs for WellPoint, Inc. Ms. Maginn will replace President Emeritus, Susan Crosby, as she returns to retirement.

Ms. Maginn joins Women In Government following a distinguished career in government and business.  She has served in numerous appointed positions including Indiana Insurance Commissioner under Governor Evan Bayh.  Active in WIG for more than 12 years, Ms. Maginn supported Women In Government as a Business Council member and former Chair of the Business Council from 2006-2009.  Most recently, Ms. Maginn worked as the Regional Vice President of Industry and Political Affairs for WellPoint, Inc., where she managed the company's relationships with national trade associations and intergovernmental entities including the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and National Governors Association.

In addition to her professional background, Ms. Maginn is married and has two sons.  Ms. Maginn holds a Bachelor's of Science from the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio.
