Women In Government is different from other state legislative organizations. By concentrating exclusively on women state legislators, our members have a connection with the organization, which motivates and energizes their legislative efforts around topics we examine.

We host a wide range of events, from single issue to multi-issue conferences, all designed to facilitate legislative outcomes on important public policy topics. One of our biggest strengths is our ability to keep meeting participants together throughout the entire event, creating an intimate environment that encourages networking, and ensuring that all of our attendees are participating. By hosting a smaller conference, the speakers and sponsors also have a unique opportunity to engage in a dialogue with the legislative participants and act as resources for them.

Another distinguishing characteristic of our organization is that full scholarships are provided to the women state legislators who attend our meetings, giving women state legislators in all 50 states an equal opportunity to participate in our events. These scholarships cover travel to the meeting, ground transportation in the conference city, hotel accommodations, and meals.
