Women In Government (WIG) held their 12th Annual Western Regional Conference from July 30 through August 1, 2009 at Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego, California.  Forty women state legislators from the region convened to listen to speakers and to discuss policy issues including energy, chronic health issues, the economy and the environment. 

Immediately before the Conference, WIG held the 2009 Outreach to Vulnerable Populations Conference.  This conference was attended by twenty-five legislators and addressed children as a vulnerable population.
