American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009
Partial Breakdown by Regions
Women In Government (WIG) is taking steps to expand our policy issue base to include: energy, environment, transportation, and economic development in the states. WIG has created a state by state breakdown by each region of the recently passed American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 signed into law by President Obama on February 17, 2009 that relates to these new policy issues. Overall, this legislation intends to create and protect 3.5 million jobs and begin to put the nation’s economic recovery back on track.
