In early November of 2003, Women In Government convened thirty state legislators around the issue of healthcare restrictions, including specific presentations on: innovations in research, the impact and consequences of Medicaid budget cuts, the Canadian healthcare system, liability issues with implementation of evidence based medicine and the reimportation and counterfeiting of prescription drugs.
