1st Annual HPV & Cervical Cancer Summit

1st Annual HPV & Cervical Cancer Summit: New Opportunities for Partnerships and Prevention

Women In Government is pleased to announce the success of our HPV & Cervical Cancer Summit:New Opportunities for Partnerships and Prevention which was held on November 17-19, 2005 in Atlanta, GA. As Susan Crosby, President of Women In Government, mentioned in her welcoming address to Summit participants, the HPV & Cervical Cancer Summit is both a culmination of coordinated, nationwide efforts and kick-off for the next steps in cervical cancer prevention. It was an opportunity for Summit participants to assess the progress that has been made, and to outline the work that remains in order to eliminate cervical cancer. Women In Government has tried to include the most important and relevant health and policy topics in the Summit agenda. In order to keep the momentum, Susan Crosby announced at the close of the Summit that WIG will host another Summit next year to review the progress made and decide on next steps.
