Senator Stacey Guerin (ME)

Senator Guerin has served in the Maine Senate since 2018 and represents District 10, having previously served as a Representative for District 102 since she was first elected to statewide office in 2010. She is a member of the Joint Committee on Innovation, Development, Economic Advancement and Business, and the Joint Committee on Labor and Housing. 

Vice Chair

Representative Cindy Ryu (WA)

Representative Cindy Ryu is serving her 5th term in the Washington State House. While a Shoreline City Councilmember, she served as Mayor, becoming the first Korean American woman mayor in the United States. Representative Ryu chairs the Housing, Community Development and Veterans Committee, with additional jurisdiction over Community Resilience, Emergency Preparedness, and State Parks and also serves on Consumer Protection & Business and Appropriations Committees.

Representative Lauren Matsumoto

Representative Lauren Kealohilani Matsumoto serves as State Representative for Hawai‘i's 45th District and serves as Minority Floor Leader. Representative Matsumoto was elected to the Hawai‘i State Legislature in 2012. She sits on three House Committees: Consumer Protection and Commerce, Economic Development and Business, and Labor and Public Employment.

Representative Geran Tarr

Representative Geran Tarr was first elected to the Alaska State Legislature in 2012, representing the 19th district. Representative Tarr currently serves as the Co-Chair of the House Resources Committee and the Joint Armed Services Committee. She is also a Member of the House  Fish & Game Finance Subcommittee, Fisheries Committee, Natural Resources Subcommittee, and the Health & Social Services Finance Subcommittee.

Senator Nancy Todd (CO)

Senate Pro Tempore Nancy Todd was elected to represent Colorado District 28 in 2012 after serving 8 years in the House of Representatives. She serves as Chair of the Senate Committee on Education and Vice-Chair of the Joint Committee on Technology.  She is also a Member of the Senate Committees on Finance and Legislative Audit.

Senator Julie Gonzales

Senator Julie Gonzales was elected in 2018 to serve on behalf of Senate District 34, which includes north, west, and downtown Denver. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Judiciary Committee and as a member of the Appropriations and Finance Committees.  Sen. Gonzales was born in Arizona and raised in south Texas.

Assemblywoman Lisa Krasner (NV)

House Minority Whip Assemblywoman Lisa Krasner was elected to the Nevada General Assembly in 2016 and serves the 26th District which includes part of Washoe. Assemblywoman Krasner serves on the Assembly Education Committee, Assembly Health and Human Services Committee, and the Assembly Judiciary Committee.

Senator Barbara Bollier (KS)

Senator Barbara Bollier represents the 7th Senate District which includes Fairway, Kansas. She is Ranking Minority Member of the Senate's Public Health and Welfare Committee and of the Senate Select Committee on Healthcare Access. Senator Bollier is also a member of the 2019 Special Committee on Medicaid Expansion, the Education Committee, the Robert G. Bethell Joint Committee on Home and Community Based Services and KanCare Oversight, the Health Care Stabilization Fund Oversight Committee, and the 2019 Special Committee on Health. Senator Bollier is a retired doctor from Surgicenter of Kansas City.

Senator Mattie Hunter (IL)

Senate Majority Caucus Chair Senator Mattie Hunter represents the 3rd Senate District that includes Chicago, Illinois. Senator Hunter serves as Chair of the Executive Committee, Vice-Chair of the Transportation Committee and Chair of the Subcommittee on Special Issues (EX). She is also a member of the Appropriations I Committee, Committee of the Whole, Energy and Public Utilities Committee, Human Services Committee, Special Committee on Opioid Crisis Abatement, Public Health Committee and the Subcommittee on Special Issues (HS).

Delegate Sheree Sample-Hughes (MD)

Speaker Pro Tempore Delegate Sheree Sample-Hughes was elected to the Maryland General Assembly in January 2015, representing District 37A. In the House of Delegates, she also serves on Health and Government Operations Committee and the Rules and Executive Nominations Committee. Delegate Sample-Hughes is the President of the Maryland Woman's Caucus.

Representative Christie Carpino (CT)

State Representative Christie Carpino represents the 32nd House District that includes parts of Cromwell and Portland, Connecticut. She serves as a Member of the Joint Committee on Judiciary, the Public Health Committee, and the Legislative Regulation Review Committee. Representative Carpino also serves as House Republican Caucus Chair.

Representative Heather Crawford (SC)

Representative Heather Crawford was elected to office in 2012 representing District 68. She currently serves on the Ethics and Ways and Means Committees in the 123rd South Carolina General Assembly. Representative Crawford currently sits on two Subcommittees; the Budget Subcomittee on Healthcare as well as the Economic Devleopment Subcommittee.

Senator Gloria Butler (GA)

State Senator Gloria Butler represents the 55th Senate District that includes parts of DeKalb County, Georgia. Senator Butler is the Chair of the Senate Democratic Caucus and serves as Secretary for the State and Local Governmental Operations Committee and the Urban Affairs Committee. Other Committee memberships include: the Ethics Committee, the Health and Human Services Committee, the Reapportionment and Redistricting Committee, the Rules Committee, and the Transportation Committee
