October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. According to the American Cancer Society, there are currently about 234,190 women and men diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States every year. Of those diagnosed, 99% are women. About 41,760 women will die due to breast cancer by the end of this year. Early diagnosis and screening is the best way to prevent cancer.
